OMDSI Registration FAQ

Registration Deadline: July 1, 2017. Please read the registration information below.

Registration fee of $75.00 - Waived if registration is postmarked or you register online before June 1, 2017.

Who must register?

Everyone has to register

  • Infants, children, youth, young adults, adults and part-time attendees
  • Full-time and Part-time staff - including theme speakers, workshop leaders, touch group leaders etc.

How do I register?

  • You can register online here - this is the preferred method of registration
  • If you are unable to complete the online registration system please contact the registrar.
  • Required forms:
    • CHILD SUPERVISION CONTRACT for anyone entering the 6th grade or younger (including infants). This is being done online this year.
    • YOUTH FORM for anyone entering 7th grade through 12th grade, and also 2017 high school graduates who haven't "bridged" into the Young Adult Group. This is being done online this year.
    • GUARDIAN FORM for anyone who is attending with someone who is not their legal guardian or custodial parent. This will be a paper form that needs completed IN ADDITION to the online form.
    • Guardian forms must be mailed to the OMD office by June 15th. We will return them to the temporary guardian upon arrival at Summer Institute.
When can I register?
  • Registration will open APRIL 1ST. 
  • Early Registration (NO Registration Fee)
    • Complete your online registration by 6/1/2017
  • Late Registration ($75 Registration Fee)
    • Must be completed online/postmarked on or before 7/1/2017

Besides saving $75, why should I register early?

  • Workshops fill up quickly
  • Dorm requests and Air Conditioning requests are filled on a first-come, first-served basis
  • You'll make life a little easier for the Summer Institute Registration Team.

How much does it cost to attend Summer Institute?

  • Costs this year are based on the choices you make in housing and meals.
What do my fees cover?
  • Programming fees cover all the programming costs. Housing fees cover your housing costs. Meal fees cover your meal costs.
Are scholarships or financial aid available?
  • There is a limited amount of scholarship money available
  • See the scholarships page for detailed information and application packet.

Speaking of scholarships, can I donate money to the scholarship fund?
  • Absolutely. There is a section on the Payment Form where you can donate to the Scholarship Fund. These donations may be tax deductible, per IRS regulations. Not registering? You can donate here.

Do I have to pay in full when I register?

  • Complete your online registration and follow the instructions at the end. Within 48 hours you will receive a confirmation invoice that has been reviewed with a link to pay via paypal or instructions for mailing a check.
  • Check payments must pay at least half with registration with the balance due at check in.
  • Credit card payments must be paid in full.

If something comes up and I'm not able to attend Summer Institute who should I notify and can I get a refund?

  • If you need to cancel your registration please contact Amy Kent at 412-999-7067 or registrar@omdsi.org
  • If you cancel by June 21st, you'll be refunded the total amount less $25 per person.
  • If you cancel after June 21st, you'll be refunded the total amount less $50 per person.

Will I hear from SI after I register online or send in my registration?
